Free Insulation for Your Home
NEWS FLASH Warmer Homes Scheme: if you are in receipt of a fuel allowance, or any social welfare benefit, you may be entitled to FREE Home Insulation through the SEAI give them a ring on 01 8082100 to get the ball rolling.
Free Insulation : Under the Better Energy Warmer Homes scheme- certain home owners in Ireland can get energy saving work done on their houses for FREE.
The scheme is open to the following homeowners whose house was built before 2011:
a) Those getting a Fuel Allowance as part of the National Fuel Scheme **
b) Those getting Family Income Supplement
c) Those in receipt of Jobseeker’s Allowance for over 6 months with at least 1 child aged under 7 .
You are also entitles to it if you are
d) One parent family
e) Domiciliary care allowance
e) Domiciliary care allowance
** Pensioners can get the fuel allowance if their weekly income is below €330.30 (single) or €536.60 (couple)
The measures currently available for free under this scheme are:
- Free Attic insulation
- Free Cavity wall insulation
- Free Draught proofing
- Free Hot Water tank Lagging jackets
- Free Low energy light bulbs.
